Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy

INTRODUCTION

The English-Speaking Union (Victoria Branch) is committed to promoting and protecting the interests and safety of children. We have zero tolerance for child abuse.
Everyone working at The English-Speaking Union (Victoria Branch) is responsible for the care and protection of children and reporting information about child abuse.

If any person believes a child is in immediate risk of abuse, telephone 000.

POLICY STATEMENT

The English Speaking Union Victoria Branch (ESU) is committed to promoting the safety and wellbeing of children by implementing Child Safe Standards and the National Principles. All Children have a right to be safe from harm and Child Abuse. The welfare of the children attending or receiving services from ESU or with whom ESU has contact, is a priority. We aim to create an environment where children are safe and receive appropriate care and services. ESU has a zero-tolerance approach to Child Abuse and will treat all allegations of Child Abuse or child safety concerns seriously.
